I am a Ferrari fan myself, so I never really paid much attention to the fruits of the collaboration between automaker Lamborghini and Asus. The new laptop in this line of products is something else, though, and even those who may not be into super cars will definitely do a double take.
One can’t deny that the design catches the eye, not to mention the combination of orange and black. There is also a carbon fiber black version, which will appeal to those who want a less flashy look. (Then again, if you go for a Lamborghini, you shouldn’t have any problems with flashy!) Looks aside, however, the new Asus Lamborghini VX7 just might give its (auto) namesake a run for its money. The essentials:
- All new Intel® 2nd Generation Core™ i7 Processors
- Up to 16GB DDR3 of memory; at the very least, you get 3GB!
- 1.5 TB of storage
- NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 460M graphics with giant 3GB video memory
- Super-Speed USB 3.0
It also comes with Windows 7 – choose from Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate. The display is 15.6″ 16:9 Full HD (1920×1080) LED backlit. It also comes with a Blu-Ray Reader/Writer, and it has an 8-cell battery.
Impressive is the word that comes to mind, but it doesn’t stop there. What’s even more impressive is the attention to detail. For example, the laptop has a leather-lined wrist rest. A simple detail but it makes a lot of difference! Then there’s the trackpad mimicking the car’s lines – it’s trapezoidal in shape.
All this comes at a price, though – a rather heavy $3000. If you’re willing to burn rubber cash, look out for this new laptop around May.
