I don’t use a mac, and I probably never will but when it comes to the Mac vs. PC ads I give Apple some credit, they are hilarious. Looks like Apple is taking a strike back at all the windows fan boys who say Macs are for unproductive artists in a rather humorous manner. These two ads are some of the better ones in my opinion. On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the United States.
That’s right, it’s daylight savings time again… you know, spring forward, fall back and as an added bonus, one less hour of sleep. Thanks Bush.
Make sure that before you go to bed tonight, you set your clocks ahead one hour or you’ll be messed up in the morning.
Don’t forget to also update your PC since this is a new thing; last year, daylight savings was on April 2.
For a little added bonus, check out the U.S. Naval Observatory website for some trivia and the official word on daylight savings.
The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change by President Bush to Congress.
Congress retains the right to resume the 2005 Daylight Saving Time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete.
Did you know that not all places in the U.S. observe daylight time?
In particular, Hawaii and most of Arizona do not use it. Indiana adopted its use beginning in 2006.
Many other countries observe some form of “summer time”, but they do not necessarily change their clocks on the same dates as the United States.

The S. Clarke and Sons funeral home offers a new option to the bereaved: live video of the departed’s final journey.
Friends and family who cannot attend the ceremony personally are given access to the feed through a private website, ID and password.
Yes, that’s right, they’re offering streaming death 2.0 web services.
Cameras and microphones are installed throughout the church, giving the viewer as complete an experience as if they were there in person.
The ceremony can also be recorded to the viewer’s PC and saved for later viewing.

Back on Janury 25, 2007 I posted about a Mazda 3 vehicle lock assembly issue and over a month later I’m still getting comments, feedback and emails on the subject.
Apparently this is a huge issue in Canada and to my amazement, over 140,000 Mazda 3’s have been sold in Canada since the car went into production.
Because of the major interest in this story, I’ve been digging deeper into it, trying to find out anything to help people who own Mazda 3’s or plan on purchasing one.
After speaking with Mazda Canada public affairs director Gregory Young, I found out that this issue originated at Mazda’s factory in Japan.
If you’re in Canada, you should contact the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.
Angelo Carusi is the research and training coordinator for ICBC and can confirm this issue and that there are measures being taken to help other Canada Mazda 3 owners.
You might also want to check with Doug Henderson who is the media relations spokesman for ICBC if you have other questions.

Have you ever wondered how to fold things like a pro?
Well thanks to Ben Zweig, self proclaimed folding expert, we learn how to perform both the “simple fold” (the industry standard) and the “Japanese fold” (folding magic!).
Ben also shows us how to make an automatic folding machine from a few pieces of cardboard.
I’m really liking the automatic cardboard folding machine.
Since I have a bunch of laundry to do, I’m going to make one of these later today to help in the folding process.
