Tonight I purchased some network gear to get a friends internet up and running at her new place. I’m really happy with the gear and the price was good.
What was a real eye catcher for me was the wonderful “mail-in rebate offer” on the equipment. I fill out the paperwork, make copies of the UPC codes and the receipt. Sounds easy enough, right?!
Well just before I seal the envelopes, I see in small print on one of the rebate forms (I’m getting two rebates) “rebates can not be mailed to a P.O. Box”. Not to much of a big deal because I do have a “real” address to use but what pisses me off is the company wants me to mail in all the paperwork to their P.O. Box… so I guess that they can know my “real” address but I’m stuck with their mailing address… grrr… stupid Corporate America and dumb policies.
Anyway, I made the needed corrections and mailed off the rebates… so in 4-6 weeks, I get a couple of checks… yay for money… and good “geek gear”.
Ok. I’m done bitching.
*deep breath*
*turns on Hoobastank CD real loud… jumps to track 2: “OUT OF CONTROL!!!”
P.S. The glue to seal envelopes tastes like (insert Strong Bad voice) “total crap!”
