Microsoft recently opened Wave 3 of its Microsoft Windows Live programs to the public. The rollout also includes new version of Live Mail, Writer, and Messenger. Also included are new betas of Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Toolbar and Family safety.
The announcement was made this week in the Windows Live blog. There was no mention on what the design goals were for these new offerings but the blog did promise that these goals will be revealed in the next few weeks.
As a Windows Live user of many of the apps I have to say that these are useful apps and I hope Microsoft will really make drastic improvements to these utilities to make it more user friendly.
