Toshiba has achieved a coup of sorts with its new Qosmio laptops.
Both the Qosmio X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 feature three GPUs for extra gaming goodness.
The said laptops have a GeForce 9400M GPU but also has a pair of GeForce 9800GTS in SLI mode. The 708 model also has a 2.53Ghz Core Extreme QX9300 microprocessor. Both laptops are said to be priced at $4199. Pretty steep for a gaming laptop.

The $99 laptop is slowly but surely coming true.
Acer and Radioshack recently unveiled a netbook whose price is subsidized by AT&T, the 3G provider.
The Acer Aspire One, which is more than $200 usually, has been priced at just $99 for customers who sign on for a two-year contract with AT&T, who will provide the integrated wireless data connection. The wireless data plan begins at $60 a month, this is a total of $1440 for the duration of the contract.
The new offering is available in over 4400 Radioshack operated stores and will last until December 24.
Subsidizing netbooks is not really a new thing outside the US. This is the first of its kind policy within the country and it looks like this is the start of a trend that will continue for the next few years.

Consumers who still complain that the Intel Atom is underpowered will now have cause to rejoice. Intel has begun shipping its first dual-core Atom processors.
These dual-core Atoms are designed for netbooks, the hottest segment in the laptop market today. The new Atom 330 will have the same clock speed as the single core Atom 230, that is, 1.6Ghz. It will also have 1 megabyte of L2 cache that will be divided over the two cores. It is rated for 8 watts and supports DDR2 667 memory.
At a price of $43 per processor, expect this to become the de facto standard among netbooks.

Firefox now enjoys a big 20 percent market share or, more accurately, 19.97 percent. This makes the browser a strong second to Internet Explorer.
Firefoxrent a car bulgaria, when it was released four years ago, came out when IE had 90 percent of the market. IE now has just a 71 percent share. Firefox’s reach increased by four percent when version 3.0 was released last July.

There are strong rumors circulating that new Macbook models are going to be released next month. According to a report by Citigroup, a “field check” performed by the company a new line of Macbooks have been designed are already being shipped to Apple stores and retailers all across the country. The new models will reportedly have LED illumination, thin aluminum casing and a very attractive price. It is said the announcement for the new products will be made on October 14.
We’ll find out in about three weeks if these rumors are true.
