Most jobs keep you in place, and many people like that. You are home, with your family, and you have that simple commute. But for some people, traveling for work is their ideal.
Even people with families often travel for jobs. There are just some people out there that have a passion for the optn road, or a need to see new and different places. If you’ve been considering a job that allows you to travel and see the world, or at least your own country, here are some to consider.
Journalist
Become a travel writer, a reporter, or even a photo journalist. Depending on who your job is with, like a national newspaper or magazine, you may be able to work in far away places. These jobs can sometimes have a little danger to them, when you’re covering wars in other countries, but it’s worth it for the people that do it for a living. They love the risk and adventure.
Sales Rep
You could choose to be an independent sales rep, or even work for a company as sales rep. This would allow you to drive around to different stores in different locations in order to sell them stuff. Look for field sales rep options when job hunting, which will help ensure you get to do some traveling.
Travel Industry
The best work for traveling all over would be to get a job with an airport. Become a pilot, if you are so inclined, or simply work as flight attendant. If the air isn’t your thing, you could always get a job working on a cruise ship.
Recruiter
Recruiters, whether you are looking for the next top model or the next star athlete, do a lot of traveling and scouting. This could be a good job if you have an eye for beauty or an eye for talent.
Construction Worker
If you are good with your hands, and heavy machinery, you could get a job in construction in a field that gives you the chance to do some traveling. Maybe get into architecture, or work on a railroad or the big wind turbines that are popping up all over the place.
Stagehand For A Band
Okay, maybe you’d prefer to be the rockstar, but if you can’t sing and don’t know how to play an instrument, you could still get a job as a roadie. If you want to be a great stagehand though, you should know the minimum of playing each instrument so you can do a great job.
Truck Driver
If you like to drive, even in hurricanes and snowstorms, the life of a trucker may be perfect for you. It gives you the chance to drive all over the country and see sites many people rarely get to see in their lifetimes. You just need to be good at staying awake and alert when you’re driving.
