Seal Shield Corporation unveiled this morning a fully submersible and dishwasher safe keyboard and mouse.
The keyboard and mouse was developed in response to the demand from healthcare organizations for disinfectant solutions to combat the spread of cross contamination infections.
In a press release statement from Bradley Whitchurch, Seal Shield’s chief executive officer:
The Seal Shield Medical Grade Washable Keyboard and Mouse are the only solutions which are fully submersible and dishwasher safe.
Our products have been designed for health care, but are aggressively priced for the mass market.
So if the keyboard and mouse are dishwasher safe, does that mean someone could spill a drink on it and just keep on typing away?
I think this is a great idea because I hear about people spilling liquids on or around computers a lot.
I personally keep that sort of thing far away from my keyboard.
For those users out in Internet Land, they offer cost-saving infection control combo kits that include the keyboard, a washable scroll mouse and an antibacterial mouse pad.
These control combo kits would be perfect for those long 72 hour non-stop World of Warcraft marathons :)
